                          This blog is made on the grounds of a task assigned by Dr. Dilip Barad Sir to reflect our literary and critical skills on the events which we had attended in' MAN BHAVAN 'Youth Festival 2023.

The Grand Intercollege Event – YOUTH Festival every year becomes a medium for the annual gathering for youth and it is the only place where students’ art meets talent. Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University had organized a four-day youth festival on -03-04-05 November 2023


wherein students from various colleges and departments were able to showcase their skills in various competitive fields




This year 2023 the theme of MAN BHAVAN YOUTH FEST was "નારીશક્તિન વંદના" was the prime subject of the four-days-splendid event.

The first day was packed with diverse activities, from challenging mimicry sessions featuring participants imitating sounds ranging from trains to animals, to a thought-provoking skit covering topics like India's space achievements, unemployment, education system woes, and even humorous takes on the Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation's quirks. The performance effectively highlighted both the struggles and successes in our society, encouraging the audience to reflect on the multifaceted issues shaping our world.

In the mono-acting performance, diverse situations women confront were vividly portrayed. The act skillfully delved into the challenges faced by suppressed women, offering a compelling and thought-provoking representation of their struggles.

1. Kashmir Crisis:
   - A poignant drama unfolds the harsh realities of Kashmir, portraying the agony of 'half-widows' and the survival-driven decisions of women in the face of conflict.

2. Laxmi:
   - Tragedy strikes a girl with four hands as societal expectations lead to alienation, abuse, and a heartbreaking end, exploring the dehumanizing effects of objectification.

3. Vat Ek Vyathani:
   - A modern narrative challenges traditional tales, envisioning alternate fates for female characters, emphasizing the need for stronger roles and a fresh perspective.

4. Ene nahi to Mele:
   - Country life humorously depicted in a play filled with laughter, providing a lighthearted escape into the comedic elements of rural existence.

5. Jo Guzar na Saki Wo Zindagi Humne Guzari Hai:
   - A realistic drama delving into the harsh lives of beggars and orphans, exposing societal issues, crime, and the exploitation faced by vulnerable individuals.

6. Meran:
   - A romantic drama set in the embrace of nature, exploring the vitality of the forest and the challenges faced by tribal people, especially women supporting each other.

7. Mahamrutyunjay:
   - A dramatic retelling of Krishna's conclusion, blending mythological elements to emphasize human resilience and the need for self-reliance.

8. Christy Brown:
   - A biographical drama portraying Christy Brown's life stages, overcoming cerebral palsy, and emphasizing themes of artistic expression and resilience.

Indian Group Song:
   - A vibrant blend of patriotic and folk songs, resonating the spirit of India through musical expressions.

Mime Performances:
   - Silent narratives on Charan Kanya, Women Empowerment, Para Olympics, Outdoor Games, and India's Achievements, showcasing the power of expression without words.

Youth Festival Conclusion:
   - The grand finale witnessed KPES College as runners-up and Swami Sahjanand Cluster of Colleges clinching the prestigious General Championship. Reflecting on artistry, the festival celebrated creativity at Mahraja Krishnanakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University.
